About the IQHA

The American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) based in Amarillo, Texas maintains the breed rgistry for all quarter horses throughout the world. This is the largest breed registry with over 4.5 million horses registered worldwide.

The Irish Quarter Horse Association (IQHA) is the recognised affiliate of the American Quarter Horse Association here in Ireland. Although the population of quarter horses in Ireland is small at present, our aim is to abide by the AQHA mission statement and promote the purebred quarter horse in Ireland while maintaining the integrity of the breed.

Our Association is registered under the Companies Registration Office, Ireland as a Limited Company under guarantee as IQHA Limited, with the registered business name,Irish Quarter Horse Association.
